I fully believe that anyone can learn to play piano well, no matter age, background, or current capabilities. Studying music provides a wealth of benefits to mind and body, and music lessons should be accessible & customized to students' interests and strengths. Ultimately, students feel pride and accomplishment when playing at a high level, building their confidence as both performers and people. I believe in creating a strong technical foundation at the instrument in order to help students reach their goals and inspire them musically. My graduate work in pedagogy (the art of teaching) allowed me to develop the skills required to provide an encouraging environment in which students can reach their full potential at the piano through dedication and enjoyment of the learning process.

 

I offer lessons based out of my home studio in Garden Oaks. My students participate in a variety of activities, including competitions, festivals, performances, theory examinations, and semesterly recitals.
